Be able t plan journey with the UK Unit 9
Today I am going to plan a journey for Mrs Roberts and her two children age of 10 & 12 and her Husband. I will also write some reasons why people travel in the UK. And I will compare and contrast two options discussed in task A.
Rail:
The service provider is Train line, journey time 8 hours and 30 minutes, the cost is £396.60 according the train line tickets service, departure from Leeds train station (LDS) to arrival at the Newquay train station (NQY).
According to the TrainLine condition of detail change, if the passenger is later and misses his/her train, has to pay £5.99 extra money for change, and the change has to be made on the official website or at the station. TrainLine connections
I believe this deal will be a good deal for a family going out, ticket price £853.80 with a saving of £175.60 in total.
Coach:
The service provider is National Coach Express, journey time 07.00-18:15 duration of 11hours and 15 minutes, cost £86.10 each total of £344.40. Departure from Leeds coach station to Newquay coach station.
Returning, time 07:50-20:00 about 12 hours and 10 minutes, cost stills the same £86.10 each, departure from Newquay to Leeds coach station, change, according to the National coach Express, clients can make a change but it cost £5 extra but has to be on before 2 days.
Air:
Service provider is Air Southwest; the journey time for just departure is 18:35 arriving at 20:50 is about 2 hours and 15 minutes of duration, cost £222.00 includes £99 and government tax £12 for 4 people. Detail of change the flight is a direct flight from Leeds Bradford Airport to Newquay Airport. Change has to be made before 2 days, if passenger changed their minds about the destination and the company will not going to your money back after 2 days.
Returning, still the service provider is Air Southwest, journey time 16:20 arriving at the Leeds Bradford Airport at 18:45, duration of 2 hours and 25 minutes. No change to make. The total cost for everyone is £888.00= £222.00 x4.
Car:
Planning journey by car, the service provider is Transport Direct, journey time 14:15 arriving at 20:22, duration of 6 hours 07 minutes, about 362.9 miles, date Tuesday 28th Dec 2010 to Jan 03rd 2011, from Leeds Yorkshire to Newquay coach station.

Compare simple Journeys in the UK in terms of time, costs and convenience
I am going to compare and contrast to simple journey in the UK in terms of time, costs and convenience, so for this task I will use Coach and Air.
Air transport: Air, most people love to travel by Air because it’s fast and comfortable, according to the Wikipedia.org/aircraft aeroplane is popular to business persons because it goes to everywhere.
Air Advantage, most people prefer air Transport because the air Organizations are cutting their carbon emissions by 50% by 2015. Some people believe Air transport have more security. High speed, air transport is the fastest method of transport in the planet, quick service, air transport provider’s best service regarding security, and they are flexible for terror risky. No infrastructure investment and this cost less compare to rail, road and sea.
Cost: from London to Manchester costs £35.90 with duration of an hour one way, from London to Edinburgh costs £39.80 with duration of 1 hour and 25 minutes.
Disadvantage, air transport has the highest risky of crash, and the emergency group can’t reach up there and making the crash more deadly. About 4,000 flights were cancelled across the UK, and 600,000 were affected.
Coach: Road method of transport is one of the popular method off transport in the UK, over 65% uses Coach every day travelling across the UK by the coach.
Advantage of coach (road method), travelling by the coach (national express, citylink, Megabus) cost less compare to any other method of transport, example from London to Birmingham costs only £5.50 for one way while From London to Birmingham by Train costs £35.00 one way. Coach is convenience, offering a good service and travelling across the United Kingdom with low price.
Disadvantage, according to the Green campaign, road transport has the highest emission compare to any other method of transport. Coach does change from Leeds to Birmingham then Newquay, coach offers long journey with low price.
Comparison:
Air transport, From Leeds to Newquay, there are no change, and it takes 2 hours and 15minutes, price £888.00, but Coach method, from Leeds to Newquay passengers has to change because the journey is long, it takes 11 hours 15’ is 9 hours long than Air transport. Emission air transport has reduced 50% of their emission while coach transport will reduce 25% by 2015. I think the air transport is the best regarding security and service.
Coach providers’ cheaper deal with long distance and Air transport offers short distance and high price.
